Siemens Healthineers Concludes Innovation Capacity Building Program in Saudi Arabia

Siemens Healthineers has successfully concluded its Innovation Capacity Building Program through its regional headquarters in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Held from February 5 to 20, 2025, the program aimed to enhance local expertise and foster strategic collaboration with universities, hospitals, startups, and key stakeholders, including the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at).

The two-week initiative brought together 40 participants from diverse backgrounds, including physicians, engineers, healthcare professionals, researchers, and students, and promoted interdisciplinary collaboration, offering participants the opportunity to identify critical gaps in healthcare and develop innovative solutions to address them.

The program further underscored Siemens Healthineers’ commitment to advancing the healthcare ecosystem in the Kingdom.

Tackling Healthcare Challenges

As the urgency to overcome critical healthcare challenges continues to grow, the program focused on three main project tracks:

Disease pathways

Future healthcare systems

Future medical approaches

Within these tracks, participants used innovation methodologies to develop data-driven, patient-centered solutions, aiming to improve both the delivery and outcomes of healthcare.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Hamoud, Head of Radiology at the Virtual Health Hospital under the Ministry of Health, expressed his pride in the program’s success:

Showcasing Results and Driving Change

The program concluded on February 20, 2025, with a final showcase of results held at the Monsha’at Startup Hub in Riyadh.

Monsha’at played a pivotal role as a strategic partner, reflecting its continued efforts in supporting entrepreneurship and innovation in the Kingdom.

Siemens Healthineers took a leading role in driving positive change in digital healthcare during this edition of the program, showcasing its comprehensive suite of solutions—from innovation and scientific partnerships to education and capacity-building initiatives.
