As part of Saudi Arabia’s ambitious efforts to position itself as a global leader in emerging technologies, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has announced a landmark achievement: the successful training of more than 424,000 Saudi citizens in various disciplines of artificial intelligence.
This initiative is a key component of the Kingdom’s strategic push to empower its human capital and enhance national digital capabilities in alignment with the goals of Vision 2030.
SDAIA launched a comprehensive suite of specialized training programs and transformative initiatives in collaboration with both national and international academic institutions and tech organizations.
These programs targeted a broad demographic—university students, engineers, educators, entrepreneurs, and professionals from both the public and private sectors—providing them with critical skills in big data analytics, machine learning, natural language processing, data science, industrial AI applications, and the ethical use of emerging technologies.

The authority placed strong emphasis on hands-on, applied learning, offering immersive workshops, real-world projects, and certification opportunities endorsed by globally recognized institutions.
This practical orientation ensures that participants are not only equipped with theoretical knowledge but also capable of applying it effectively in the job market, which is rapidly evolving with the global adoption of AI.
This achievement reflects SDAIA’s broader commitment to accelerating the Kingdom’s digital transformation and creating a robust, knowledge-driven economy powered by innovation and data.
By cultivating a generation of AI-literate professionals, Saudi Arabia aims to become a regional hub for AI research, development, and deployment across critical sectors such as healthcare, education, energy, mobility, and finance.
SDAIA reaffirmed its ongoing dedication to investing in national digital talent, fostering strategic partnerships with Saudi and international universities, and collaborating with private sector stakeholders.
These efforts are crucial to building a sustainable innovation ecosystem that reinforces the Kingdom’s global standing in technology, while supporting the development of a smart, digitally empowered society at the heart of Vision 2030.
