Saudi Arabia has achieved a significant milestone in its labor market, with the national unemployment rate falling to 6.3% in the first quarter of 2025 — the lowest in the Kingdom’s recorded history, according to the General Authority for Statistics.

This achievement reflects the continued success of Saudi Vision 2030, which focuses on creating jobs, diversifying the economy, and expanding citizen participation across various sectors.

The drop in unemployment was supported by increased job creation in non-oil industries such as tourism, technology, and logistics, fueled by government investment and private sector engagement.

Economists noted that the record-low rate underscores the resilience of the Saudi economy and its growing ability to absorb new entrants into the labor force, thanks to ongoing reforms, vocational training programs, and workforce development initiatives.
