The Saudi Ministry of Health has introduced a new service to deliver medicines using drones during the 2025 Hajj season, following two years of extensive studies and experiments.
This modern technology aims to expedite the delivery process, reducing the time from 90 minutes to just 6 minutes, thereby enhancing healthcare services for pilgrims.

Health Minister Fahad Al-Jalajel stated that the service will be implemented in Mina, Muzdalifah, and Mount Arafat, areas where approximately 1.25 million pilgrims gather. The drones are designed to withstand high temperatures and are equipped with precise cooling systems to ensure the safety of medicines during transit.
This initiative reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to leveraging modern technology to improve services provided to pilgrims, showcasing its dedication to offering advanced healthcare during the Hajj season.
