Saudi Energy Minister Meets US Counterpart at KAPSARC in Riyadh

Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, met on Saturday with US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright and his delegation at the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) in Riyadh, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The meeting was part of Secretary Wright’s official visit to the Kingdom and underscored the growing collaboration between Saudi Arabia and the United States in the areas of energy, sustainability, and scientific research.

During the visit, Secretary Wright was briefed on KAPSARC’s strategic role in energy policy research, energy transformation, climate change mitigation, sustainable transport, and advisory services.

The discussion also focused on strengthening research partnerships, sharing expertise, and supporting joint innovation efforts.

The US delegation recognized KAPSARC’s work in developing advanced analytical tools and models, which play a pivotal role in shaping forward-thinking and sustainable energy policies.
