The latest data from the General Authority for Statistics revealed that Saudi Arabia’s industrial production recorded a significant increase of 7.9% in June 2025 compared to the same month last year.

This growth was primarily driven by the robust performance of the manufacturing sector, which continued to post remarkable gains, despite a slight decline in mining and quarrying output.

The authority explained that the Industrial Production Index (IPI), which measures the volume of output in manufacturing, mining, and electricity and water supply, was positively impacted by a sharp 14.6% year-on-year rise in manufacturing activity.

This surge highlights the success of national strategies aimed at positioning the Kingdom as an advanced industrial hub and attracting greater investment into non-oil sectors in line with Vision 2030 objectives.

The data also showed notable expansion in manufacturing industries, particularly in the production of consumer and durable goods.

This growth has been fueled by increased local and foreign investments, the expansion of production capacities across factories, and higher demand in both domestic and international markets.

According to the authority, this performance reflects the resilience of the Kingdom’s industrial sector and its ability to adapt to global economic challenges, leveraging advanced infrastructure, government policies that foster industrial innovation, a competitive investment climate, and initiatives to boost industrial exports to new markets.
