This extended network will connect seaports with inland regions, streamlining the movement of goods and passengers and enhancing overall transport efficiency.

The initiative is expected to significantly reduce reliance on road freight, lower carbon emissions, and improve road safety.

Additionally, it will generate thousands of new job opportunities across transport, infrastructure, and logistics sectors.

By supporting major industrial projects and integrating supply chain components, the railway expansion will enhance the Kingdom’s competitiveness in global trade and contribute to the objectives of Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy and elevate the performance of the logistics sector.
