Saudi Arabia is intensifying its efforts to preserve and revive cultural heritage through initiatives aimed at bringing back traditional art forms that were on the verge of extinction.
Leading this mission is the Saudi Society for Fine Arts (GSFT), which is dedicated to collecting, documenting, and reintroducing these arts in a contemporary way that resonates with younger generations.

These revived art forms include traditional ornamentation, ancient handicrafts, wood painting, and wall engravings—artistic expressions that once documented daily life and reflected the Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage.
The initiative focuses on organizing exhibitions and training workshops for both artists and enthusiasts, ensuring that knowledge and skills are passed from seasoned practitioners to emerging talents, thus preserving these traditions for the future.
Organizers emphasized that these efforts not only safeguard heritage but also open new avenues for creativity, supporting the cultural movement under Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to position culture as a key pillar of sustainable development.
