As Eid Al-Fitr approaches, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Asheikh, has directed all ministry branches across the Kingdom to hold Eid prayers in all designated mosques and open-air prayer grounds, in preparation for welcoming worshippers on this special occasion.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the ministry has launched early and extensive preparations to ensure that both mosques and outdoor prayer areas are fully equipped to host worshippers.
This includes cleaning, maintenance, and the provision of essential services to ensure a peaceful and safe worship experience.
Eid prayers will be held in all mosques, except those located near open-air Eid grounds or those rarely used for Eid prayers in remote villages.
In such areas, worshippers will attend prayer at local designated grounds instead.

The directives also emphasized the readiness of electrical systems, air conditioning, and audio equipment to create a comfortable and spiritually uplifting environment for worshippers.
Eid prayer across the Kingdom will take place 15 minutes after sunrise, in accordance with the Umm Al-Qura calendar.
The Kingdom’s 19,887 mosques and prayer areas have all been readied to receive worshippers, with stringent cleaning and sterilization protocols implemented to preserve the sanctity and hygiene of these sacred spaces.
These efforts reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to providing a dignified and spiritually enriching experience for all on one of the holiest days in the Islamic calendar.
