Saudi Arabia Hosts Cultural Week in Osaka, Showcasing Rich Heritage on the Global Stage

As part of its efforts to expand its global cultural presence and celebrate its diverse heritage, the Kingdom hosted a Saudi Cultural Week in Osaka, Japan. The event, organized by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Saudi Embassy in Tokyo, drew wide attendance from Japanese officials, diplomats, and members of the public.

The cultural week featured a vibrant lineup of events highlighting the richness and diversity of Saudi culture—from traditional music and folk dances to authentic Saudi cuisine and live handicraft demonstrations.

The program also included Arabic calligraphy exhibitions and interactive heritage performances by Saudi artists, captivating audiences and offering a sensory journey into the heart of the Kingdom.

This initiative aims to foster deeper cultural understanding between Saudi Arabia and Japan and open new pathways for artistic and creative exchange, especially as the Kingdom prepares for its participation in Expo 2025, which will take place in Osaka.

The event also aligns with the Kingdom’s broader cultural strategy, which places cultural diplomacy at the forefront of international engagement—emphasizing that Saudi Arabia is not only a major economic and political player, but also a custodian of rich and diverse human heritage.
