In Mexico City, Saudi Arabia and Mexico signed a new partnership agreement aimed at strengthening cooperation in the fields of financial oversight and auditing standards.
The agreement was formalized during an official ceremony attended by high-level delegations from both nations. Representing Saudi Arabia was Dr. Hussam Al-Angari, President of the General Court of Audit, while Mexico was represented by David Colmenares Paramo, President of the Supreme Audit Institution, with the participation of Saudi Ambassador to Mexico, Fahad bin Ali Al-Manawer.
The agreement seeks to expand bilateral cooperation through the exchange of expertise and knowledge in financial auditing and accounting, while also advancing professional capabilities in both countries.
It emphasizes the development of unified auditing and accounting standards aligned with international best practices, alongside specialized training programs designed to enhance the efficiency of national cadres in Saudi Arabia and Mexico.
Key areas of collaboration include organizing joint workshops and academic seminars, facilitating technical delegations, and establishing mechanisms for performance evaluation and compliance reviews. These initiatives aim to reinforce transparency, improve governance in public institutions, and promote fiscal responsibility.
This partnership is expected to strengthen the role of both countries within the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions, while also bolstering trust in financial systems and contributing to sustainable development through effective resource management.
The signing marks a significant milestone as Saudi Arabia continues to modernize its financial oversight framework in alignment with Vision 2030 objectives, while Mexico advances its regulatory and administrative standards.
Together, the two nations are forging a strategic alliance built on knowledge exchange, professional development, and international cooperation in financial governance.
