Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled its latest mid-range lineup, the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G, marking a significant step in the company’s push to bring advanced artificial intelligence capabilities to a wider audience. Announced on March 25, both devices arrive under the banner of what Samsung calls “Awesome Intelligence” and are expected to reach consumers globally starting April 10.
A New Standard for the Mid-Range Segment
Leading the new lineup, the Galaxy A57 5G sets a new benchmark for its category. The device ships with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display running at 120Hz with HDR10+ certification, delivering crisp visuals at 385 pixels per inch — a specification more typically associated with flagship devices. Under the hood, the Exynos 1680 processor built on a 4-nanometer process powers the experience, paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage.
Both phones run Android 16 with Samsung’s One UI 8.5 out of the box and carry a commitment that has become central to Samsung’s value proposition: up to six generations of major OS upgrades and long-term security patch support. For buyers in Saudi Arabia’s growing mid-range smartphone market — where devices are expected to perform reliably for several years — this assurance carries real weight.
AI Features Designed for Everyday Use
Samsung has woven its latest AI tools throughout both devices via the newly updated Awesome Intelligence suite. The Voice Recorder app now includes Voice Transcription, which automatically converts recordings, call audio, and voicemail into readable text with translation support — a feature that will resonate strongly with Saudi users navigating multilingual professional environments.
Circle to Search with Google has been upgraded to support multi-object recognition, allowing users to search for several items within the same image simultaneously. Object Eraser, meanwhile, has received improved processing to deliver more natural-looking results when removing unwanted elements from photos. The Galaxy A57 5G also offers Best Face technology for group photography, Auto Trim for video, and AI Select for faster in-screen content interactions.
Both Bixby and Google Gemini are integrated as conversational device agents, giving users a choice of AI assistant for controlling settings and completing complex multi-step tasks across native and third-party applications.
Camera and Build Quality
Photography sits at the core of the Galaxy A57 5G’s appeal. The device carries a triple-camera system anchored by a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation, supported by a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 5-megapixel macro camera. Improved Nightography processing ensures the cameras remain capable in low-light conditions. Samsung’s enhanced Image Signal Processor sharpens detail and reduces noise across varied lighting environments.
On the build side, both phones feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front and back, with an aluminum frame and IP68 water and dust resistance — certifications that place them comfortably above typical mid-range durability standards. The 5,000 mAh battery supports 45-watt wired charging.
“The new Galaxy A series reflects our continued commitment to AI democratisation by bringing the latest innovations to more Galaxy users,” said TM Roh, Chief Executive Officer and President of Samsung’s Device eXperience Division. Both phones are set to become available from April 10 in select markets worldwide.
