A second group of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) personnel has successfully completed advanced training on the US Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile system, reinforcing the Kingdom’s efforts to bolster its military defense capabilities.
The graduation ceremony was held at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, and was attended by Maj. Gen. Pilot Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Rabiah, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces Institute, alongside officials from both Saudi Arabia and the United States.
The program included comprehensive technical and operational training, combat simulations, and advanced field exercises supervised by defense experts and manufacturers of the THAAD system.

Recognized as one of the most advanced missile defense technologies in the world, THAAD plays a pivotal role in the Kingdom’s air defense strategy, helping to counter ballistic missile threats with high precision.
This marks the second group of RSAF graduates from the program, following the initial batch trained last year — part of the Ministry of Defense’s broader strategy to enhance the skills of military personnel through international partnerships and knowledge exchange.
