Royal Court Announces Sunday as the First Day of Eid Al-Fitr in Saudi Arabia

The Royal Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has officially announced that Sunday, March 30, 2025, will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr 1446 AH, following the confirmed sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon on Saturday evening.

On this blessed occasion, the Saudi leadership extends heartfelt congratulations to citizens and residents, asking Allah to accept their fasting and prayers, and to return this holiday to the Islamic world with peace, blessings, and prosperity.

The Supreme Court had previously called on all Muslims across the Kingdom to participate in observing the Shawwal crescent moon on the evening of Saturday, 29th of Ramadan 1446 AH.

Following the official announcement, mosques and prayer grounds across Saudi Arabia are preparing to host Eid prayers on Sunday morning, with safety and precautionary measures in place to ensure the well-being of worshippers.
