Riyadh Metro Welcomes 100 Millionth Passenger in Less Than Nine Months of Operation

The Riyadh Metro has reached a major milestone by welcoming its 100 millionth passenger in under nine months since operations began in December last year. The network has achieved an impressive on-time performance rate of 99.7 percent, reflecting the efficiency of its infrastructure and service quality.

The Blue Line along Olaya Road recorded the highest ridership with 46.5 million passengers, followed by the Red Line on King Abdullah Road with 17 million, and the Orange Line on Madinah Road with 12 million. The remaining lines collectively served 24.5 million passengers.

Key stations such as Qasr Al-Hokm, King Abdullah Financial District, the main STC station, and the National Museum saw the highest passenger traffic due to their role as major transfer points. Integrated with an extensive bus network and public transport facilities, the Riyadh Metro provides passengers with a seamless travel experience from home to destination.
