Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Mayor of Riyadh, has concluded an official visit to Japan that included high-level meetings and the inauguration of the Saudi Vision 2030 Forum in Osaka, attended by prominent Japanese and international leaders.
In his opening remarks, Prince Faisal highlighted the enduring partnership between the Kingdom and Japan, which has spanned more than seven decades.
He emphasized that the launch of the Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 in 2017 marked a turning point in strengthening bilateral ties and expanding collaboration in sectors such as economy, investment, and culture.
During the visit, the Saudi delegation explored opportunities for cooperation in smart infrastructure, digital transformation, and urban sustainability, aiming to transform Saudi cities into global hubs of innovation aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals of improving quality of life and establishing Riyadh as a world-class city.
Discussions also addressed the importance of clean energy and green technologies, with both sides stressing the need to leverage Japan’s expertise in sustainable transport and environmental resource management.
These areas of collaboration will support the Kingdom’s leadership in climate action and its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2060.
Prince Faisal praised the warm reception and constructive dialogue throughout the visit, noting that this mission laid the foundation for a new era of long-term strategic cooperation that will benefit both nations and their peoples.
