In a significant move toward redefining the healthcare landscape in the Kingdom, Saudi authorities have announced the launch of 28 state-of-the-art healthcare projects in Riyadh, with total investments surpassing SAR 7 billion.
The initiative marks a milestone in the Kingdom’s efforts to deliver world-class healthcare infrastructure aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
These projects are part of the Health Sector Transformation Program, which aims to enhance accessibility, improve quality, and increase the capacity of healthcare services across Saudi Arabia, particularly in high-density urban centers like the capital.
The projects include:
Construction of advanced specialty hospitals for cardiology, oncology, pediatrics, and neurology
Expansion and renovation of existing hospitals and emergency departments
Establishment of primary healthcare centers to serve local neighborhoods and underserved communities
Comprehensive digital transformation infrastructure, including e-health records and smart service platforms
Deployment of the latest medical technologies to enhance diagnosis, treatment, and patient care
Strategically distributed across Riyadh, the projects are expected to reduce patient waiting times, ease pressure on major hospitals, and enhance operational efficiency while also creating hundreds of job opportunities for Saudi healthcare professionals.
