The Visual Arts Commission is preparing to launch the first-ever Art Week Riyadh, a vibrant week-long celebration of Saudi Arabia’s contemporary art scene.
The event will run from Sunday, April 6, through April 13, 2025.

Held under the theme “At The Edge,” the inaugural edition will span key cultural locations across the capital, including JAX District and the Al-Mousa Center, transforming them into hubs of artistic exchange and discovery.
The event will bring together over 45 galleries from Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and around the world, showcasing a rich selection of artworks and perspectives through an international lens.
The main exhibition will focus on three thematic pillars: Everyday Life, Landscapes, and Motifs, exploring the intersection of tradition and innovation in Saudi visual culture.

Al-Mousa Center will host more than 15 specially curated exhibitions, while the JAX District will feature a series titled “Collections in Dialogue,” developed in collaboration with major cultural institutions and private collectors.
In addition to exhibitions, Art Week Riyadh will offer panels and workshops that address current topics in the visual arts across the Kingdom and globally.
According to the commission, the initiative seeks to foster a dynamic, collaborative artistic environment — one that honors Saudi Arabia’s rich heritage while embracing its ever-evolving creative future.
