U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in Riyadh this morning, marking the beginning of his official Gulf tour, which also includes Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
This visit, his first international trip since starting his second term, signals a renewed focus on strengthening ties with Gulf nations.
Trump was welcomed at King Khalid International Airport with a formal reception, where he was received by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Accompanying the president was a high-level delegation including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and leading American business figures such as Elon Musk, Larry Fink, and Jane Fraser.
The visit’s agenda includes Trump’s participation in the Saudi-American Investment Forum in Riyadh, during which major agreements are expected to be announced.
These include a defense deal worth over $100 billion, covering advanced military equipment and C-130 transport aircraft.
Discussions with Gulf leaders will also address critical regional issues such as the ongoing situation in Yemen, growing Iranian threats, and expanded cooperation in sectors like energy, artificial intelligence, and semiconductor technologies.
The visit comes as the U.S. seeks to reinforce its strategic influence in the region amid shifting geopolitical and economic dynamics.
