Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL), addressed the Second Consultative Meeting with Pakistani Religious Scholars in Islamabad, emphasizing the importance of Islamic unity, intellectual cooperation, and promoting moderation across the Muslim world.
In his remarks, Dr. Al-Issa underscored the need for collaboration among religious institutions and scholars to advance the true message of Islam — one rooted in peace, coexistence, and understanding. He noted that differences in opinion should not lead to division but rather serve as a source of enrichment and mutual respect.
The meeting discussed a range of religious, intellectual, and social issues, including countering extremism, promoting inter-sect dialogue, and strengthening religious education as a means of building tolerant and cohesive communities.
Participants commended the Muslim World League’s leadership in fostering cooperation among Islamic nations and promoting humanitarian initiatives that enhance intellectual and social security, praising its global role in religious diplomacy and peacebuilding.
The gathering is part of the MWL’s ongoing efforts to build stronger ties with religious institutions worldwide, supporting joint initiatives that serve the Muslim community and promote the values of moderation and harmony that define Islam’s true essence.
