The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones, known as “MODON,” announced that it attracted new local,
and foreign investments amounting to SAR 24 billion in 2024.
This represents a 38% growth compared to 2023, bringing the total cumulative investments in 39 industrial cities to SAR 440 billion.
This announcement was made in its annual report, which stated that these achievements reflect MODON’s commitment
to its vision of becoming the preferred destination for industrial and technological investment.
It also supports the objectives of the National Industrial Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030 in building a vibrant and empowered industrial society.
In 2024, the number of industrial, logistical facilities, and data centers increased to 8,616 establishments, marking a 9% rise compared to the previous year.
The number of jobs also increased by 10%, reaching 593,000 positions.

The area of developed industrial land grew by 7%, reaching 219.5 million square meters.
MODON successfully completed 80 projects with a 100% completion rate, supported by national talents and local and international partnerships.
MODON also implemented all of its strategic initiatives under Vision 2030 — a total of 32 initiatives with a cost of SAR 16.3 billion,
according to data from the National Center for Performance Measurement “Adaa.”
As part of its efforts to attract more investments, MODON signed over 875 new industrial and logistical contracts,
supported by flexible solutions, expansion in ready-made product projects, and allocation of industrial land.
Among its major achievements in the year was the launch of the “Food Cluster” in Jeddah,
which earned the title of “World’s Largest” according to the Guinness World Records. Additionally, it received 36 local, regional,
and international awards, including the King Abdulaziz Quality Award, in recognition of its efforts to promote a culture of institutional excellence.
Established in 2001, MODON is responsible for developing and managing industrial cities, technology zones,
and data centers in the Kingdom, in partnership with both the public and private sectors.
It also oversees private industrial cities and complexes.
