Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, has inaugurated a series of mosque development projects in Madinah, as part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to enhance services at places of worship and provide a welcoming environment for worshippers.
The projects include the opening of new mosques, the renovation and maintenance of historic ones, and the installation of modern systems for lighting, air conditioning, and acoustics to align with the Kingdom’s urban development. They also involve upgrading ablution and restroom facilities and adding accessible pathways for people with disabilities, underscoring the ministry’s commitment to inclusive services for all members of society.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the minister emphasized that these initiatives reflect the leadership’s unwavering support for the care and development of mosques, stressing that maintaining and expanding them remains a top priority for the ministry.
These projects embody the Kingdom’s vision of strengthening the role of mosques as centers of religious, cultural, and social engagement, while ensuring a serene and well-prepared environment that facilitates worship in comfort and safety.
