The winners of the second Literary Creativity Competition, organized by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, were celebrated in a distinguished ceremony held at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh, where the voices of young writers and poets resonated across the Kingdom, heralding a new era of cultural innovation.
In a spirited celebration that highlighted the power of words, Abdullatif Al-Wasel, the Commission’s CEO, honored outstanding creators across four literary tracks: classical poetry, Nabati poetry, novels, and short stories.
The monetary awards reflected the significance of the achievement: a total of SAR 1.2 million, with SAR 150,000 for first place, SAR 100,000 for second, and SAR 50,000 for third in each category.
Al-Wasel extended appreciation to His Highness the Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Commission, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, for his unwavering support of the literary arts.

He emphasized that the competition aims to nurture university-level talent, empowering them to contribute to the Kingdom’s cultural vitality and inspire future generations.
In the classical poetry category, Ahmed Al-Turki took first place, followed by Luay Al-Makrami and Faisal Al-Qaisi.
For Nabati poetry, Hani Al-Otaibi led the winners, followed by Muteb Al-Sulami and Abdullah Al-Harthi. In the novel category, Amira Al-Subaie claimed the top position, with Zainab Al-Qaisoum and Mahdi Al-Abdulatif securing second and third places respectively.
In short story, Raihana Al-Saadan was crowned first, ahead of Fatima Al-Darwish and Rana Al-Juhani.
The competition underscores the Commission’s leading role in fostering cultural dialogue and shaping a new generation of literary voices, elevating the global prominence of Saudi literature and heritage.
