The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center announced the implementation of 78 dedicated projects supporting individuals with disabilities, covering a wide range of services including rehabilitation, education, assistive tools, and social support. These initiatives form part of the center’s broader humanitarian mission aimed at empowering vulnerable groups and enhancing their quality of life both within the Kingdom and internationally.
The projects included the distribution of assistive devices such as wheelchairs and prosthetics, alongside rehabilitation programs designed to improve motor, cognitive, and social skills. Specialized psychological and social-support services were also provided for both children and adults to help strengthen emotional well-being and foster greater stability.
Educational initiatives formed a significant part of the center’s efforts, offering training programs that enhance communication and learning skills. Workshops were also provided for families, enabling them to better support their loved ones with disabilities and understand the best practices for daily care. Additionally, the center supplied specialized facilities with essential equipment and training materials to improve the quality of services offered.
Internationally, KSrelief extended its efforts through humanitarian programs benefiting disabled individuals in several countries. These included providing medical equipment, conducting early-screening campaigns, and offering rehabilitation programs aimed at reducing the long-term impact of disabilities and improving opportunities for community participation.
The center emphasized that these 78 projects reflect a strategic commitment to advancing human empowerment and delivering comprehensive support that integrates medical, educational, and social care. The goal is to ensure that people with disabilities receive the opportunities they deserve to live fulfilling, dignified, and fully engaged lives.
