Hollywood icon Keanu Reeves has expressed deep concern about the unauthorized use of his image through generative artificial intelligence technologies, stating that he feels his identity is being violated.
In recent comments to the media, Reeves said, “The world is being recreated digitally in a disturbing way.”
He added, “I don’t appreciate having my face or voice used in digital projects that I have no control over or didn’t consent to.”
Known for his humility and calm demeanor, Reeves has been one of the earliest celebrities to publicly raise concerns about AI’s influence on the film industry.
He even includes clauses in his contracts preventing digital manipulation of his face or likeness without permission.
His remarks come amid growing global debate over AI-generated content involving public figures, highlighting major concerns around intellectual property and digital identity rights.
