Izabella Rekiel joins The Saudi Times as a contributor to the Sports column. A presenter and producer, she has worked across international championships including FIA Formula E, the Dakar Rally, F1 SAGP, Extreme E/H, and the E1 Series.
Since being part of the inaugural FIA Formula E in 2018—the first international sporting event held in the Kingdom—Izabella has witnessed the remarkable growth of Saudi Arabian sport evolve in parallel with the country’s wider social and cultural transformation.
Over the past few years, she has focused on amplifying the voices and stories emerging from Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf, highlighting how local sporting movements and talent are shaping the region’s global presence.
Passionate about storytelling that connects audiences to the people and energy behind each event, Izabella continues to explore the evolution of sport in one of the world’s most dynamic regions. She holds a Bachelor in Media Arts and Production from the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia.
