A high-level two-day forum titled “Teaching Islamic Fiqh and Cultivating the Faqih: Guiding Principles and Frameworks” was inaugurated in Kuala Lumpur.
Organized by the Islamic Fiqh Council under the Muslim World League, and held under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, the event hosts senior jurists and scholars from Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and various Muslim-majority and minority nations.
Participants addressed key issues related to enhancing Islamic jurisprudence curricula across universities, with a focus on developing jurists equipped for rigorous research, legal reasoning, and engagement with contemporary challenges.
The forum underscored the importance of establishing a robust jurisprudential framework to support scholarly understanding and practical application of Islamic legal rulings.
