The Haramain High-Speed Railway achieved a remarkable milestone during the Ramadan 2025 season, successfully transporting over 1.2 million passengers through 3,310 trips connecting Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah, King Abdulaziz International Airport, and King Abdullah Economic City.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the railway saw an average of 40,000 passengers daily, with a record-breaking 48,000 passengers on the 15th of Ramadan alone.
Notably, the service maintained an exceptional 99.5% on-time performance rate, reflecting Saudi Arabia Railways’ (SAR) operational efficiency and commitment to providing safe, high-quality transportation for Umrah pilgrims and travelers during the holy month.
