The Saudi Museums Commission has celebrated the graduation of a new cohort from its National Museum Development Program, designed to equip Saudi professionals with the expertise needed to lead and innovate within the Kingdom’s rapidly expanding museum sector.
The initiative is part of the Commission’s broader effort to develop local talent in museum management, curation, conservation, cultural marketing, visitor experience, and digital transformation, all in alignment with Vision 2030’s cultural and economic diversification goals.
Participants underwent hands-on training and international placements across leading museums and cultural institutions, gaining practical experience in exhibition design, collection management, and museum digitization through collaborations with global partners.
The Museums Commission emphasized that the program represents a strategic investment in cultural human capital, noting that graduates will play a vital role in managing and developing the Kingdom’s next-generation museums — including projects such as the Diriyah Museum of the Future and the Red Sea Museum.
Through initiatives like this, the Commission continues to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position as a global cultural hub, fostering knowledge transfer, professional development, and innovation in museum practices that reflect the Kingdom’s heritage, creativity, and forward-looking vision.
