Saudi Arabia’s fastest-growing low-cost carrier, flyadeal, has launched a new scheduled service connecting Riyadh with Neom Bay Airport, expanding its presence at one of the Kingdom’s most strategically significant destinations. The four-times-weekly route adds to an existing twice-weekly Dammam–Neom service, making flyadeal the only carrier offering domestic access to Neom from two separate Saudi cities.

Connecting the Capital to the Kingdom’s Giga-Project Hub

The Riyadh–Neom route primarily serves commuters and workers involved in the Kingdom’s major infrastructure developments in Tabuk Province, where several of Saudi Arabia’s most ambitious giga-projects are taking shape. According to flyadeal, the route was designed to support the government’s drive to build significant economic infrastructure across the country, with Neom representing one of the most concentrated clusters of Vision 2030-aligned development anywhere in the region.

“The new Riyadh–Neom route underscores flyadeal’s commitment to create air corridors that support the government’s drive to build significant economic infrastructure across the Kingdom,” said Lloyd Misquitta, flyadeal’s acting chief commercial officer. He added that domestic routes now represent 70 percent of the airline’s overall capacity, reflecting a deliberate strategic focus on serving Saudi Arabia’s own growth priorities before expanding further internationally.

A Fleet Built for Growth

Both Riyadh–Neom and Dammam–Neom services are operated using Airbus A320 family aircraft configured in an all-economy layout with 186 seats. Flyadeal currently operates a fleet of 45 narrowbody jets, having taken delivery of its first new aircraft of 2026 in February, and is on track to grow its fleet further throughout the year. The airline carried 11 million passengers in 2025 and is projecting between 12 and 13 million in 2026, backed by plans to increase overall capacity by 20 to 25 percent.

By the end of this decade, flyadeal aims to more than double both its fleet size and its route network, targeting more than 100 aircraft and 100 destinations by 2030. Its hubs in Jeddah, Riyadh, Madinah, and Dammam serve as the backbone of a domestic network that now covers more than 40 year-round and seasonal destinations across Saudi Arabia, the wider Middle East, Europe, and South Asia.

Neom Bay Airport: A Gateway to Saudi Arabia’s Future

Opened in 2019, Neom Bay Airport is the Kingdom’s fourth airport and was purpose-built to serve a region defined by large-scale investment in tourism, sustainable living, manufacturing, and logistics. Its expansion into a major domestic connectivity hub is a direct reflection of how Neom has evolved from a blueprint into a destination receiving regular commercial air service. With flyadeal now linking both Riyadh and Dammam to Neom, the region becomes significantly more accessible to the hundreds of thousands of workers, professionals, and visitors whose lives and work are tied to the Kingdom’s boldest development ambitions.
