In a continued collaborative effort, the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal)
and messaging platform Telegram have successfully removed over 16 million pieces of extremist content during the first quarter of 2025.
Additionally, 1,408 channels used by extremist groups were shut down.

The removed content included videos, audio recordings, and text files, identified through monitoring of Arabic-language materials on the platform.
Since the inception of this partnership in February 2022, nearly 177 million extremist materials have been eliminated, and more than 16,200 channels have been closed.
This ongoing collaboration underscores a strong commitment to combating extremist ideologies and promoting a safer digital environment
by detecting and removing content that propagates extremism and violence.
