As part of Saudi Arabia’s ambitious efforts to elevate its cultural landscape, Diriyah Company has officially awarded the Royal Opera House development contract—a flagship component of the At-Turaif heritage district project—with a total value of SAR 5.1 billion.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the contract has been awarded to a consortium of three prominent construction firms:
Al Seef Engineering Contracting Company (Saudi Arabia)
Midmac Contracting Company (Qatar)
China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC)

The Royal Opera House is envisioned to become a world-class cultural and architectural icon in the Kingdom. It will host a diverse range of artistic performances including opera, ballet, classical music concerts, and international cultural events.
This monumental project is part of Diriyah Gate Development Authority’s broader plan to transform Diriyah, the birthplace of the first Saudi state, into a premier global cultural destination—fully aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
