In a swift response, the Saudi Ministry of Health issued an urgent alert to all private hospitals and medical complexes in Riyadh, urging them to heighten preparedness to handle any new food poisoning cases, report any such cases immediately, and provide necessary data for investigation.

Additionally, authorities have suspended “Belban’s” delivery services through electronic applications, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, and the Public Health Authority, as part of efforts to limit potential infections.

Regulatory and health authorities continue to investigate the root causes of the food poisoning cases, conducting laboratory tests on samples of food and beverages from the closed outlets, and reviewing the health and safety standards followed by the chain.
