OpenAI has announced a new AI coding agent for ChatGPT that can independently handle complex programming tasks,
including navigating files, executing code, and fixing bugs.
Dubbed an “agent,” this feature is designed to go beyond simple code suggestions—allowing ChatGPT to act more like a self-directed software assistant.

The AI agent will be able to interpret objectives and carry out multi-step processes to accomplish them,
such as building a web app or debugging existing code, with minimal user input.
This development represents a leap toward making ChatGPT a more autonomous and capable tool for developers.
The feature will roll out gradually, starting with a select group of testers in the coming months.
