Azka Farmer’s Market has made its return to Hayy Jameel in Jeddah, launching a monthly two-day event that celebrates Saudi Arabia’s local agricultural heritage and promotes sustainable food choices.
More than just a shopping destination, the market aims to foster awareness around healthy eating, ethical food systems, and direct consumer-producer connections.
Visitors can explore a diverse range of fresh seasonal produce including fruits, vegetables, grains, baked goods, dairy, and meats — all sourced from over 74 local farms and food producers across the Kingdom.

Zaki Kamel, founder of Azka Foods, said the initiative is rooted in creating an ethical, self-sufficient food model inspired by Islamic values, developed through eight years of study and contemplation.
“This market provides a meaningful alternative to modern supermarket systems by connecting people directly with farmers and producers. We hope to export this philosophy globally.”
Each edition will feature 16 rotating booths, and producers unable to attend in person will have their goods sold via a dedicated “Azka Selection” booth managed by the organizers.
The market also includes interactive features such as chef’s corners, coffee pop-ups, children’s activities like drawing and reading stations, and panel discussions with agricultural pioneers — including Jassim Almughrabi, the Kingdom’s first certified organic honey producer.
