Arafat Day 2025 A Sacred Time for Prayer and Righteous Deeds

Arafat Day in 2025 falls on Friday, June 6, marking a deeply revered day in the Islamic calendar.

It is the ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah, when pilgrims gather on Mount Arafat to perform the pinnacle of the Hajj pilgrimage,

while Muslims around the world observe this day through fasting, prayers, and good deeds.

This day holds immense spiritual value. Fasting on Arafat Day is believed to expiate sins of the past and coming year,

and supplications made on this day are especially likely to be accepted.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of Arafat.”

Recommended acts on this day include:

  • Fasting (for those not performing Hajj).
  • Intense supplication, especially the prayer: “There is no god but Allah, alone without partner.

To Him belongs the kingdom and praise, and He is over all things capable.”

  • Remembrance of God and seeking forgiveness.
  • Recitation of the Qur’an.
  • Frequent use of takbeer, tahleel, and tahmeed.

Arafat Day serves as a powerful reminder of mercy, forgiveness, and renewal of faith,

preparing the hearts of Muslims for the arrival of Eid Al-Adha in a state of spiritual purity.
