Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University has announced the official admission criteria for students wishing to apply for its free master’s and PhD programs for the upcoming academic year.
These programs aim to support academic excellence and research leadership in the Kingdom.

Here are the key admission requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree:
For master’s admission: A minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 5 for full-time students or 3.75 out of 5 for distance learners (or equivalent).
The degree must be from a Saudi university or a recognized institution, with an official equivalency required for international certificates.
Master’s Degree:
For PhD admission: Applicants must hold a master’s degree with at least a “Very Good” grade from a Saudi or recognized university.
GAT for Graduates (Qiyas Test):
A minimum score of 65 is required.
The test must be valid (within 5 years).
Exempted applicants must submit an official exemption document from the Qiyas Center.
Preparatory Courses:
The department may require students to complete supplementary courses from previous academic levels as a condition of admission.
Publication Requirement for PhD:
A published research paper is required to complete the PhD, according to the scientific council’s publishing regulations.
Academic Integrity and Enrollment Rules:
Applicants previously dismissed for disciplinary reasons or academic dishonesty are ineligible.
Concurrent enrollment in any other program within the university is also not permitted.
