Early Life and Family
Abdullah Al Zamil was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His father is Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Zamil,
and his mother is Lulwa bint Abdulaziz bin Suleiman Al Sulaim, descending from a well-known Saudi family.
Education
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Washington in the United States in 1987.
Upon returning to the Kingdom, he continued his academic journey and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in 1992.
Career and Professional Path
Abdullah Al Zamil embarked on a successful business career through various roles within Zamil Industrial Investment Company.
He served as Chief Operating Officer between 2004 and 2009, before becoming Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and Human Resources.
Earlier in his career, he also worked as an Industrial Engineer at Zamil Air Conditioners.
In October 2009, he was appointed CEO of Zamil Industrial Investment Company, a diversified conglomerate established in 1930.
The company operates across sectors including air conditioning, steel manufacturing, plastic products, and food industries.
It employs thousands of workers across several countries where it invests and operates.
