Misk Foundation Begins New Chapter With Move to Misk City Headquarters in Riyadh

The Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “Misk” has officially relocated to its new main headquarters in Misk City, marking a transformative milestone in the foundation’s decade-long journey of empowering Saudi youth.

The move to Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City — the world’s first city dedicated entirely to the nonprofit sector — signals a bold new era for one of Saudi Arabia’s most influential organizations in youth development, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

A Vision Rooted in Youth Empowerment

Founded by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Misk Foundation has spent the past ten years building a dynamic ecosystem designed to nurture the next generation of Saudi leaders. The foundation operates across four core pillars: education, technology, entrepreneurship, and culture.

From startup accelerators and coding bootcamps to arts programs and global forums, Misk has steadily grown into a national and international reference point for youth empowerment. The relocation to Misk City represents the physical embodiment of that ambition.

Inside Misk City: A World-Class Nonprofit Hub

Designed by award-winning international architect Conrad Gargett, the new headquarters embraces the Salmani architectural style — blending traditional Najdi heritage with modern design principles. The building features expansive views of Wadi Hanifa and the Riyadh skyline, open collaborative spaces, and a boutique museum showcasing the foundation’s journey.

At the heart of the design is the “Garden Court,” a publicly accessible landscaped gathering space intended to foster community connection and creative exchange.

Misk City itself is positioned along Wadi Hanifa to the north and the Irqah neighborhood to the south, creating a campus that integrates seamlessly with Riyadh’s natural landscape.

Global Partnerships and Growing Influence

The foundation’s global reach continues to expand. In partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Misk launched the “Challenge for Change” program, offering up to SAR 3 million in funding to support youth-driven nonprofit projects across Saudi Arabia.

The Gates Foundation has also announced plans to establish its first regional office within Misk City — a testament to the growing international recognition of Saudi Arabia’s nonprofit ecosystem.

Misk Global Forum and Beyond

The annual Misk Global Forum remains the foundation’s flagship event, connecting young leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs from around the world. The forum, along with initiatives like the Misk Tour and the “Your Dream Your Reality” storytelling series, continues to amplify the voices and aspirations of Saudi youth.

HRH Princess Sara Bint Mashhour Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, wife of the Crown Prince, has also launched “ilmi,” a new science and technology initiative under the Misk umbrella, further broadening the foundation’s impact.

A Decade of Impact

As Misk celebrates its 10th anniversary from its new home in Misk City, the foundation stands as a cornerstone of Vision 2030’s commitment to developing human capital and fostering a knowledge-based economy. With world-class facilities, strategic global partnerships, and an unwavering focus on youth, Misk Foundation is shaping the future of Saudi Arabia — one young leader at a time.
