The General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia has officially announced its working hours across all branches and administrative offices during the holy month of Ramadan 1447H, in a move aimed at streamlining services for both citizens and residents throughout the Kingdom.
Revised Schedules for Riyadh and Jeddah
According to the official announcement, passport offices in major cities will operate on adjusted schedules to accommodate Ramadan timings. In the capital Riyadh, branches located in the Al-Rimal district and the Qasr Al-Hokm metro station will maintain morning hours from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday, with evening sessions running from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM throughout the week.
Jeddah’s passport offices at Al-Sayrafi Mall and Al-Tahlia Mall will follow a slightly different schedule, with afternoon hours from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and evening sessions from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday.
Branches Across Other Regions
For all remaining passport offices across the Kingdom’s various regions and governorates, the working hours during Ramadan will be from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday. The standardized timing ensures that residents and citizens in every corner of Saudi Arabia have access to essential passport and immigration services during the fasting month.
Digital Services Remain Available Around the Clock
The Directorate has also encouraged the public to take full advantage of the digital services available through the Absher platform, Absher Business portal, and the Muqeem gateway. These electronic channels allow users to complete the majority of passport-related transactions without the need to visit a physical branch, a convenience that becomes especially valuable during Ramadan when schedules shift across the country.
Additionally, the Tawasul communication service, accessible through the Absher platform, remains available for submitting inquiries and requests related to passport services quickly and conveniently.
The announcement reflects Saudi Arabia’s continued investment in digital government infrastructure, ensuring that essential services remain efficient and accessible even during periods of adjusted working hours. With millions of residents and citizens relying on passport services throughout the year, the clear communication of Ramadan schedules helps reduce congestion at physical offices while promoting the adoption of digital alternatives aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.
