National Water Company has announced the planting of approximately two million trees in Madinah, as part of its contribution to the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative and efforts to enhance environmental sustainability and quality of life.
The initiative aligns with national efforts to combat desertification, reduce carbon emissions, and expand green cover, supporting broader environmental protection objectives. Tree-planting activities were carried out across various locations, including company facilities, open spaces, and key areas within the city.
National Water Company stated that the project is part of its long-term environmental strategy, which emphasizes the efficient use of treated wastewater for irrigation and the adoption of sustainable practices to conserve water resources and protect ecological balance.
