Genoa Close to Securing Bento Deal as Talks with Al-Nassr Progress

Italian club Genoa is closing in on the signing of Al-Nassr goalkeeper Bento, following significant progress in negotiations during the current transfer window, a move that could bring the Brazilian’s stint in Riyadh to an early conclusion.

Recent developments have placed Genoa in a strong position to finalize the deal after renewed discussions with Al-Nassr’s management, allowing the Italian side to move ahead of other interested clubs and emerge as the frontrunner to secure the goalkeeper’s signature.

The potential transfer aligns with Al-Nassr’s technical direction, as the club looks set to part ways with Bento in order to free up a foreign player slot for another position. The coaching staff is expected to rely on Saudi goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi as the primary option between the posts moving forward.

From a performance perspective, Bento has featured in 10 matches for Al-Nassr this season, recording five clean sheets while conceding seven goals, delivering a mixed but respectable set of performances.

The Brazilian goalkeeper joined Al-Nassr in the summer of the 2024–25 season from Athletico Paranaense. He now appears poised for a new chapter in his career, with a move to Serie A potentially on the horizon.
