More than 1 million Saudis have now been trained in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies through the Saudi Artificial Intelligence Initiative (SAMAI), marking a major milestone in the Kingdom’s efforts to develop digital talent and build a future-ready workforce.
Launched in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030, the initiative aims to empower citizens with the skills required for the AI-driven economy, focusing on areas such as data science, machine learning, IoT, and digital ethics.
Developed in partnership with leading global academic and technology institutions, SAMAI provides comprehensive training programs that combine technical knowledge with practical applications across key sectors — including industry, healthcare, education, and energy.
The initiative offers customized learning paths for students, professionals, and entrepreneurs, utilizing interactive digital platforms and AI-based learning tools to ensure accessibility and engagement.
Officials emphasized that reaching the one-million milestone represents a transformational step toward positioning Saudi Arabia as a regional AI hub, driving innovation, sustainability, and global competitiveness in the digital era.
