Egyptian music icon Mohamed Mounir has returned to Cairo after traveling to Germany for routine medical examinations in Berlin, following widespread concern among his fans over reports about his health and his sudden trip abroad.

Ahmed El-Bandary, Mounir’s manager, told Al Arabiya.net that the singer’s trip to Germany was part of his regular medical follow-up at a specialized hospital in Berlin and was not prompted by a sudden deterioration in his condition.

According to his manager, Mounir had recently experienced fatigue and exhaustion linked to an intensive period of work in the recording studio.

His treating physician advised him to take some rest and avoid strenuous activity, prompting the singer to travel to Germany for the necessary medical examinations as part of his regular health monitoring.

Mounir has since returned to Cairo and is now at home. His manager confirmed that his condition is stable and that he is preparing to resume his artistic activities in the coming days, reassuring fans following the speculation surrounding his trip.

While the singer’s health has been the focus of public attention, Mounir is also preparing to release a new song titled “Yehko Fi Oodak Hakawy,” written by Egyptian lyricist Mostafa Hadouta.

The song is expected to be released in two versions, with one featuring a distinctly Nubian style and vocal character.

The upcoming release reflects one of the defining elements of Mounir’s musical identity, which has long combined Egyptian and Arab musical traditions with strong Nubian influences.

Mounir has also been working on a new album, with several songs expected to be released successively. Earlier reports indicated that the singer had completed recordings for several tracks as part of his upcoming musical projects.

The new song extends Mounir’s collaboration with lyricist Mostafa Hadouta, following their previous work together on “Lena Seera.. Lena Dey,” associated with the film “Dee.”

Hadouta previously described his first collaboration with Mounir as an important artistic experience, reflecting the personal and thematic connection he found with the film and its story.

The two are now preparing another collaboration that is expected to add a fresh dimension to Mounir’s upcoming musical releases.

The latest developments indicate that Mounir’s period of rest and medical follow-up has not stopped him from moving forward with his artistic projects.

With his return to Cairo and preparations for new music underway, the veteran singer is expected to gradually resume his activities in the coming period.

Mounir remains one of the most influential figures in Egyptian and Arab music, having built a distinctive musical identity over several decades by blending Egyptian and Arab sounds with Nubian influences.
