The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, has launched the second edition of its “Back to School Through a Safe Door” awareness campaign alongside the start of the new academic year.

The campaign aims to strengthen cybersecurity awareness among students, parents and families while promoting safer digital practices and helping users respond effectively to evolving cyber threats.

The initiative focuses on safe technology use across educational platforms and digital devices, while providing students and families with practical guidance on recognizing common forms of online fraud and protecting themselves from digital risks.

The campaign highlights several essential cybersecurity practices, including recognizing phishing attempts and avoiding suspicious messages, links and communications from unknown sources.

It also promotes the use of strong passwords, regular installation of security updates and the activation of multi-factor authentication, alongside parental controls and safer browsing tools.

These practices are designed to help students and their families establish safer digital habits that can be maintained throughout the academic year.

The campaign provides educational and awareness materials designed to help students and parents develop practical skills for using digital devices and educational platforms safely.

The materials focus on recognizing phishing and online fraud attempts, understanding the risks associated with suspicious links and messages, and taking appropriate steps to reduce exposure to cyber threats.

Parents are an important part of this digital safety framework, particularly as children and students increasingly rely on smart devices, educational platforms and online content as part of their daily lives.

The campaign’s awareness materials are available through the social media accounts of Aamen, the cybersecurity awareness program, allowing students, parents and members of the wider community to access practical guidance and cybersecurity resources.

The initiative forms part of the National Cybersecurity Authority’s broader efforts to raise cybersecurity awareness across Saudi society and promote safer digital practices.

The campaign highlights the growing importance of cybersecurity education as digital technologies become increasingly integrated into education and everyday life.

By strengthening the digital safety skills of students and families, the initiative seeks to reduce risks arising from unsafe online behavior and contribute to a more secure and trusted digital environment.

The campaign also supports Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to strengthen cybersecurity awareness and community readiness in response to evolving digital threats, contributing to the development of a secure and trusted Saudi cyberspace.
