According to the SFDA, the program covers medicines intended to treat or prevent rare diseases with a prevalence of fewer than five cases per 10,000 people in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n
Eligible products must either address a condition for which no effective treatment is available or provide a therapeutic benefit beyond existing treatment options. The medicine must also either be under development or have been approved by another regulatory authority without being registered in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n
The \u201cNader\u201d program provides a package of incentives and facilitations designed to address some of the challenges involved in developing medicines for rare diseases.<\/p>\n
