Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce has announced the recall of 27,360 Chevrolet Aveo, Cruze and Trax vehicles, covering model years 2010 through 2018, due to a defect involving the driver’s side airbag inflator that could pose a serious safety risk.<\/p>\n

The defect could cause the airbag inflator to rupture during a crash, potentially sending sharp metal fragments into the vehicle cabin at high speed. Such fragments could result in serious injury or death.<\/p>\n

Urgent Action for Affected Vehicle Owners<\/h3>\n

Owners of vehicles covered by the recall are urged to check whether their vehicles are included in the campaign and follow the required repair procedures through the authorized local service provider.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Commerce provides an online recall service that allows consumers to check whether their vehicles are subject to a recall campaign using the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or the vehicle’s make and model.<\/p>\n
