The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced the expansion of the Saudization program to include 69 new administrative support positions, as part of the new phase of the Nitaqat program aimed at localizing more than 340,000 private sector jobs between 2026 and 2028.

This development comes as part of Saudi Arabia ongoing efforts to enhance employment opportunities for Saudi nationals and reduce dependence on expatriate labor in strategic sectors. The new positions encompass a wide range of administrative specializations that require advanced skills in coordination, supervision, and operations management.

The Nitaqat program serves as the primary tool for implementing Saudization policy in the Kingdom, classifying companies according to their percentage of Saudi workforce. Calculation methods vary by sector and company size to ensure that Saudization targets are accurate and relevant for each business activity.

Through this new phase, the Ministry aims to achieve a qualitative leap in the Saudi labor market, focusing on positions that require specialized technical and administrative skills. This step is expected to contribute to raising localization rates and improving the quality of jobs available to Saudi youth.

This initiative falls within the framework of Saudi Arabia Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy and create quality employment opportunities for citizens. The government focuses on building a sustainable knowledge economy based on national competencies and innovation across various sectors.

The expansion of the Saudization program comes at a time when the Kingdom is experiencing accelerated economic growth, requiring the provision of qualified and trained personnel to support this growth. The government also seeks to achieve balance between market needs and the professional aspirations of Saudi youth.
