Samsung has brought the Galaxy A57 5G to Saudi Arabia, placing the new mid-range smartphone on shelves at Jarir Bookstore locations across the Kingdom following its global announcement on March 25. Consumer interest has been swift, with the device topping technology search trends as shoppers weigh what Samsung is positioning as a decisive upgrade in the A-series line, one that narrows the gap between mid-range and flagship in ways that directly matter to everyday users.

The headline commitment accompanying the Galaxy A57 5G is one that has historically been reserved for premium-tier devices: Samsung is promising six consecutive years of Android operating system upgrades and six years of security updates. In a market where many users keep their phones for three or more years, this pledge fundamentally changes the value calculation, and signals how seriously Samsung is competing for long-term loyalty in Saudi Arabia’s growing smartphone segment.

The Galaxy A57 5G carries a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and a peak brightness reaching 1,900 nits, figures that produce genuinely smooth, vivid output under direct sunlight, which matters considerably in Saudi Arabia’s outdoor environment. Resolution lands at Full HD+ with a pixel density of approximately 385 pixels per inch, delivering sharp text and detailed imagery whether reading, streaming, or gaming.

Build quality reflects the premium framing: Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protects both the front and back surfaces, an aluminium frame holds the assembly together, and IP68 certification means the phone can withstand immersion in water up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes. This is the kind of durability that reassures buyers planning to hold a device for several years.

Under the hood runs Samsung’s Exynos 1680 processor, manufactured on a 4-nanometre process, delivering improved CPU and GPU throughput compared with the Galaxy A56. Memory configurations range from 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage up to 12GB RAM with 512GB, catering to heavy users who keep large media libraries and demanding applications on-device.

The triple rear camera system opens with a 50-megapixel main sensor featuring optical image stabilisation, a meaningful addition that reduces motion blur in everyday photography. Alongside it sits a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens for expansive shots, and a 5-megapixel macro camera for close-up detail. On the front, a 12-megapixel selfie camera supports Super HDR for vivid portraits and 4K video recording.

Samsung has embedded several AI-assisted features within One UI 8.5 on Android 16, including Circle to Search, Object Eraser, Best Face, and Voice Transcription. These tools bring intelligence to the camera and productivity experience without requiring users to learn complex workflows.

The 5,000 mAh battery supports 45W wired fast charging and is rated for approximately two days of regular use between charges. The phone is available in four colourways, Awesome Navy, Awesome Gray, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac, and arrives with both Nano-SIM and eSIM support.

In Saudi Arabia, the Galaxy A57 5G is priced starting from SAR 1,749 for the base 8GB/128GB configuration, with the top-spec 12GB/512GB variant available at SAR 2,599.
