From threads of silence, I wove my robe,
\nAnd from the tears of eyes, I filled my cup.<\/p>\n
Faces blurred alike along my path,
\nYet the face of my Lord remains above my head.<\/p>\n
When grief befalls a people not my own,
\nMy heart trembles, and my sleep grows faint.<\/p>\n
But what if sorrow enters my own home?
\nThen life and company would fade away.<\/p>\n
I shed my tears in silence and with patience,
\nWhile tragedies renewed within my heart.<\/p>\n
O my son, I gave you the pulse of my heart,
\nSo from your blood my gardens might bloom.<\/p>\n
Upon you, may the Merciful bestow His grace,
\nAnd may you meet Him among the noblest souls.<\/p>\n
Your memory shall ascend in both worlds,
\nLike a star that sparkles in reflection.<\/p>\n
For Fadi, I write these verses in love,
\nWhere poetry broke the walls of my despair.<\/p>\n
I will keep within my heart a memory,
\nThat maidens will echo as they quote.<\/p>\n
If the son of Adam dies without remembrance,
\nAlas, for a life that withered in vain.<\/p>\n
